Registered photos or clips of real people that unlock likeness-safe video generation with Seedance models.
What it is
A reference portrait is a photo or short clip of a real person that you register with Kyoso before using it in video generation.
Seedance models protect people's likenesses. When you attach a photo of a real person directly, the model's safety filter refuses the request — even when the person is you, a colleague, or an actor who gave consent. Registration is the way around this: Kyoso places the portrait in a private, trusted asset library, and Seedance then accepts it as a known reference instead of an unknown upload.
Only Seedance models refuse real people this way. Other video models accept person images without registration.
